Add support for editing PSADT template in PacKit GUI

Hey,

First off, big thanks for making PacKit available as a Community Edition, it’s been super helpful in our workflow!

Right now, after generating a project, I often need to go in and make small tweaks to the deployment script. It works fine, but it means I have to manually browse to the files and open the script each time. Having an integrated way to edit or adjust the PSADT template inside PacKit would really speed up things.

Is this something on the roadmap, or maybe I’m missing an existing functionality?

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. We’ve added your request to our TODO list, and it will be included in a future version of PacKit.

In the meantime, you can use your preferred editor to modify the script after it has been generated.

Best regards,
Dan

Hey Dan, I know this is a bit of an old thread now but was this and the one click SCCM import planned for a release in the near future? Thank you!

Hi,

Our next version, which should be out this week, will include two major changes:

  • full UI to import SCCM package, no more scripting(CSV files) required. You can enter your SCCM credentials in our GUI and PacKit will scan the list of apps from your server, allowing you to select the ones you want to import.

  • GUI option to switch between multiple PSADT templates. With just a click you will be able to change your template or pick another custom one from the disk.
We don’t yet support options to customize it directly from within PacKit.

Thank you very much for your feedback and feel free to share anything else you think could help us improve the application.

Hi ,

Did you had time to checkout the new support for SCCM import from v2.2 of PacKit?

I am curious what other problems you are trying to solve, where PacKit might be useful.
